Allenhouse Institute of Technology offers a full time bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an intake of 60 students. The Department has state-of-the-art laboratories ranging from building material lab, surveying lab, structure lab, geo-technical lab, transportation lab to fluid mechanics lab equipped with best in class laboratory instruments. This includes geo-work station capable of surveillance up to a range of five kilometres, hydraulic turbines ranging from Pelton wheel, Kaplan, Francis turbine and many more. A strong foundation is laid through courses on concrete and steel structures, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, transportation engineering with irrigation engineering with computer application. Students are offered a variety of electives like Advance Engineering, Properties of Soil and Rock Mechanics, Bridge Engineering, Non-linear Analysis of Structures. The theoretical courses are supplemented by imparting practical experiences through well equipped laboratories.

The Department of Civil Engineering with its multifaceted faculty continues to maintain and cultivate its strong links with the industry, academic and research institutions in India. The department executes basic and applied research which helps the students in understanding the concepts through practical implementation thereby reparing the students for success in their careers. The faculty contributes its services to institutions in order to keep themselves abreast with the technology.
